A former long-serving police officer has been jailed for six months for illegally accessing the personal details of almost 100 women to determine if they were “suitable” dates.
Adrian Trevor Moore was a 28-year veteran of WA Police and was nominated as police officer of the year in 2011.
The former senior constable pleaded guilty to 180 charges of using a secure police database to access the information of 92 women he had met, or interacted with, on dating websites including Tinder and Plenty of Fish.
A third of the women were checked by Moore multiple times over several years.
One victim’s details were accessed 13 times over six years.Defence barrister Mark Andrews told the Perth Magistrates Court that Moore was motivated by “curiosity” and was trying to determine the “suitability” of the women he was considering dating.

Mr Andrews said his client “foolishly … decided to do some due diligence” on the women before meeting up with them.
But prosecutor Tom Pontre told the court Moore’s offending over 12 years amounted to a “gross and sustained breach of trust”.
Magistrate Geoff Lawrence agreed and said a jail term was necessary.
“There must be a sentence that demonstrates what will occur if custodians of data in our digital age simply access information for their own benefit,” he said.
“If people can’t trust the public officials … then they will lose confidence in the system.”
Moore was also fined $2,000 for possessing images of bestiality.
Before you go ahead and judge, take a step back. Take a long look in the mirror. You don’t think if you had a few matches under your belt and had the type of access that my guy Adrian had that you wouldn’t take a peek for any red flags? Get the fuck out of here, of course you would. Even if you strongly disagree, you know the second you hit that brutal awkward silence and run out of talking points you’d be scrambling to find SOMETHING to save that terrible game I you have.
But I mean, what type of intel would actually come in handy there anyway. “Hey babe, how about that speeding ticket from 2009 that you successfully fought off in court. Nicely done ;)” Maybe I haven’t fully thought this through. Also he accessed one victim’s details “13 times over 6 years”? The fuck? If it were me this is a one time deal per person, anything after I meet you is on me to figure out for myself. If I’m too blind to realize that you’re showing up to my place with blood on your skirt from the mass murder you just orchestrated, that’s on me beb. If she’s a type that you feel the need to spy on so often, maybe that’s a red flag in itself? Just a thought.
Honestly at first I thought you had a neat little scheme going here but you took it way too far. I mean you were officer of the year in 2011. Any kind of free pass that might’ve earned you back then is long gone pal. Know your limit, because you obviously don’t.
Alright I just read the last bit about how he was charged for “possessing images of bestiality”? What a quiet little add-in to an already fucked up story. Yo Adrian, you lost me. Go fuck a wombat or something.
P.S. if you were wondering how he looks, guess what… it’s exactly how you think.
